works at light/sound designer, musician/performer, thai box teacher. Studied Performing Arts at HBK Braunschweig with Anzu Furukawa and Marina Abramovic (master 2002) Works as a performer/musician with The Institute for Primar Energy Research (F.A.R.M. - Finanzierungsstrategien am Rande des Machbaren / Financial strategies at the brink of the feasable), and the bands The King Anabels, The Best Intentions. Light and sound design for i.a. Alice Chauchat, Fréderic Gies, Good Work (Schad/Pocheron/Anderson), together with Florian Bach "The Solo BUlb Project" for Sololala 2009, with Bruno Pocheron lights for Magical (Anne Juren/Annie Dorsen). Performance-lectures at Schaubühne Berlin, Schaubühne Leipzig, sophiensaele Berlin, Art IG Hannover, bildwechsel Hamburg, ausland Berlin, Heinrich Böll-Stiftung Berlin. Organized and curated the year long art-campaign and exhibition /unvermittelt - für einen Arbeitsbegriff jenseits von Überarbeitung und Mangel, NGBK- Berlin; 2008, constant curating and organizing Trckenschwimmen (lo-tec diy workshops) at ausland/Berlin. Working as a drummer and performer on the Operetta "The Swan Song" with Keren Ida Nathan, Uli Ertl, Conrad Noack, G-Bliss Productions, Eduard Mont der Palol and many more.
Wishes and Interest for gangplank
- ways into and out of the computer - thinking about / learning / finding other ways than the traditional way of sitting in front of a screen and typing on a keyboard. means either haptic (sensors, gamepads, switches...) or detectors of any kind (cameras, light barriers, radar...)
- constant exchange between digital and analoge
- how to deal with the fact that the use of technology has the tendency of taking a lot of time / space in productions - there is fascination but also scepticalness
get and extend knowledge of basic tools: midi, pd, lanbox etc. -> that´s the fascination part!
- think about if use of technology does lead away from finished products. Meaning: maybe we should think about other outcomes or approaches to our work (there´s so often the tension between being fascinated by experimenting and totally stressed because in the end we want a product which is functioning on the market)
- create a platform to communicate - since we are so often lost in producing that time for talking about production (or finding new ways) is so often shrinking towards nothing
