Morning
- connecting midi directly to lanbox, programming device (control freak in this case), a document with the comments is in the lanbox manual (called lc plus reference)
example: how to programm a fader on control freak: lanbox conventions: velocity is intensity, note 1 is channel 1 edit - choose programm data - midi channel assign - (global channel means all 16 channels)- choose midi channel 1 - store- exit
edit - slider data - min 0 - max 127 - edit - command note on - data number 01h 1 (for fader 1 and dmx channel 1)- edit- velocity - change to velocity from slider-store - exit
- another way is to connect midi device through isadora to the lanbox, which changes the midi signal into dmx and connects to the lanbox via Tcp f.ex. (use a control watch and a lanbox channel

Afternoon
the question of interactivity
imagining the presentation - trying to imagine the presentation which at the moment has a "game part" (people trying things out) and the "drama part" - lights off, big sound of the storm we experienced on friday
the crucial question becomes if WE trigger the storm when we feels now it´s time, or do we somehow let people trigger it automatically (threshold, tracking lalala - when there´s a special amount of poeple on stage storm starts)
some people like the idea of us triggering the storm, some don´t:
(i like it because of my ambigous relation to tech...)
we come to the question of interactivity: there was interactivity before video tracking was invented, i.e. a technician (any kind of person) sensing a situation and reacting because of it is interacting with the audience. just it´s a one way road.
real interactivity lotec would be the "now-I´m-bored-button" onstage ( a big red button triggering the storm, the first person who pushes it triggers the drama part - no return)
another kind of interactivity is for example to trigger the moving light from to different devices it makes poeple talk (are you doing that or am i doing that???)
list of inputs: 2 cameras joystick gamepad mic piezo
out puts: 6 speakers + 2 subs
game stations of the game part:
- magnifying glass 1:
sound to sound Black Box (a small shoe box, can be seen as a stage model) with microphones whic pick up sound and influence the big sound system on stage
- magnifying glass 2:
light to light black box with camera (usb f.ex.) picking up light changes which influence the big stage light
in one box
- shadow tracking with joysticks - poeple in the audience can "follow" people on stage with joysticks
camera signal to audio camera signal to moving light camera signal to light (Florian: where you walk is no light (but maybe that would be part of the drama part) kicker tracking (piezo to counter)
