Morning
- talk about next days schedule (moving from small to big stage on Monday, logistics)
- discussion about the way the incoming data arre mostly linear and need to be reprocessed (scaling from linear to logarythmic for instance following the pitch, or a dimmer curve) weighting a dataflow (moving its center of gravity, removing useless data by constraining the input range)
- summary of yesterday practical stuff: the video theremin, controlling the moving light with a Midi joystick
presentation by Mehdi of the basics of the MIDI protocol using Isadora demo version (filtering, scaling the input data) (Linux users, please use Sun VirtualBox and sweat!)
- wiki now allows users to create/delete/rename pages and categories!
Afternoon
Chain reaction 2nd part
patch to connect the camera signal (usb webcam in this case) to isadora in order to move the moving light
* the blob (pix blob) get´s the "centre of gravity" of an image - by that able to track objects - you choose between grey, red, green, blue and transparent - * calibrated the camera and the values it was giving out (x,y,z) via the blob, by watching the * the xyz values are later going to be used as pan, tilt and intensity for the moving light
this is the isadora patch
* sometimes isadora does not connect to pd, am isadora restart helped for that * the lamp off for our moving light is channel 6 at 232, lamp on channel 6 at 132 (plus other values I don´t remember)
