JUDITH DEPAULE is a theater director, author and actress. She has worked with different theater groups (Sentimental Bourreau, Aglaée Solex, Les Alternateurs Volants), which mixed traditional theater with music and video, and adapt for the stage texts of contemporary or non-theatrical authors. Laureate of the “Villa Medicis beyond walls”, she is also a translator of Russian, and is currently writing a thesis on the Theatre in the Gulag. She has mounted workshop-shows with participation of inmates of the «Santé» prison in Paris. She also collaborates with the contemporary artist Maria Loura-Estevao and the stylist Sakina M’Sa. In 2002, she founded MABEL OCTOBRE, a company which combines theater, digital technology and documentary-style material.
