For about a year, Selma Banich from Eks-Scena in Zagreb is proposing me to give a light workshop linked to a dramaturgical approach in Zagreb.
After the experience of Gangplank, I wrote her a letter quoted here.
She liked the idea.
If some of you do as well, I propose that we use this page to think about what we could do there and how to make it possible.

"Dear Selma, we just finished now in PACT-Zollverein Essen a two weeks residency, about the relations between technology and dramaturgy in making stage work. Altogether 12 people joined in this residency, most of them people who deal in their profession with technology applied to stage as 'technicians' but also people coming from music composition, choreography or theater direction. The name of this project is Gangplank and it aims to develop into a common knowledge / common open tools database through setting up regular meetings and publicizing reflections, ideas, pieces of software and whatever things can be of common interest for people participating in creating stage work. Creating bridges, in a way. After this experience, I had to rethink a bit what I could answer to your proposal of doing a workshop about lights. I wonder if it wouldn't be more interesting to make room for a two-phase meeting or gathering together of some of the people currently involved in Gangplank and people involved in the local performance scene in Zagreb instead of proposing a formal workshop about lights - I have to admit that the idea of formally teaching frightens me a bit The gangplank option is for sure more complicated to organize but I think it could generate something much more interesting. It would be important to address this meeting to people who are really concerned about technology in relation to dramaturgy and wanting to reflect upon the stage apparatus and ways of working with it. Phase one could be to open a reflection / discussion field on the theme of technology as one of the means for doing arts and the documentation of that reflection. Phase two could be to get into practicalities, examples of possible things to realize fed by the reflection that happened in phase one. That second phase could have more of a workshop aspect but really based on topics emerging from a common reflection. I'm very much considering about applying for some money on my side to make it happen. Time-wise I could think about late 2010 or even 2011 over a period of 10 days to two weeks. What do you think about that? Big Hugs from Essen bruno"
and I' m not sure about what I could offer that way.
